Natan Noah Mutschlechner (b. 2003, South Tyrol) is a visual artist based in South Tyrol. His practice focuses on painting, digital illustration, portraiture and self-portraiture. His work explores questions of identity, public space, memory, language and contemporary visual culture. His artistic practice has developed through continuous self-directed research, observation and practical work. Working mainly with oil on canvas and digital illustration, he is interested in how personal and collective identities are shaped through symbols, images, regional narratives and social visual languages.
Artist statement
Through figurative painting and self-portraiture, I explore identity, belonging, and cultural memory. My work combines everyday objects, regional symbols, and personal experience to reflect on the relationship between place, history, language, and contemporary life.
